Residential Design that Maximizes Space and Integrates Culture

By moving and turning the living room to another direction, Tien Wan Li maximizes the usage of the public space in Splash Ink. This not only introduces sunlight to the deep corners of the indoor space but also creates a sense of openness. The large-area stone block, adorned with a splash ink pattern inspired by oriental landscape paintings, adds artistry and majestic momentum to the space. It defines the division of the flow and perfectly combines modern fashion with oriental art.

To realize this unique design, Tien Wan Li employed various techniques. The living room was turned to another direction, furniture height was lowered, and existing beams were modified with an arch-style ceiling to vertically extend the overall space ratio and create visual height. A TV wall made of a large-area marble block stands between the living room and the corridor, cleverly separating mobile and static styles in life. This allows light to penetrate deep into the indoor space, creating a harmonious flow.

The design of the main wall in Splash Ink brings depth and implication to the conversion of space. The space framework features modern-style clear and neat lines, with a simplified ratio of decoration and colors. Natural and artistic marble takes center stage, showcasing the beauty of ink and brushes through different gradation techniques. The design also incorporates storage functionality, combining the best of eastern and western culture.

Overcoming challenges, such as the potential blockage of light and a sense of heaviness caused by the large-area stone blocks, Tien Wan Li used extended lines of hollowed titanium in the living room and added frame designs with titanium strips. This preserves the penetration and artistic momentum of the space, while upgrading the exquisite texture.

Splash Ink has received recognition for its outstanding design. In 2020, it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category.
